Where in the world are we going ?

When I look at the journal I feel sometimes terrified. We are all witnesses in the happenings around the world. The cyclone happened in Myanmar which killed thousands of people. China’s earthquake buried thousands of Chinese. Recently, a tropical storm “Cosme” (international name ‘Halong’) hit northern Philippines with 130 kilometres west of Iba (capital of northern Luzon).

Between the natural catastrophes and human havoc, I am quite skeptic. When I heard what had happened regarding the scandal in Austria about the devilish act of Josephe Frizl to her daughter. An act that is unimaginable. Her daughter imprisonment in a cellar with an incest case. Please click for the full story. This happened moths ago but I will let you read the full article. After this I was contemplating on how we will be able to escape from this human made tragedy?

I will talk about this shocking case in France. The incident happened between adolescents. It's quite unbelievable but it happened. This is really worrying parents. How to explain the inexplicable? A lot of concerns are being raised. The academy of inspection wants to start a campaign to warn the people about the danger of internet, violent films/video and cellular phones. But according to Joël René Dopunt (Inspector of Academy in Yvelines) that society changes... parents change....children change....society changes....everything change! Therefore, it is necessary that the education evolve. I completely agree with Mr. Dupont. My points of view is that we should have the flexibility to adapt to changes in the world, the need to anticipate, the need to react rapidly in every consequences at our own thinking disposition. To remain vigilance. We just need to fight ceaselessly what's going on in the world. It's the reality, the world that we are living in !

It's bad enough when there's natural disasters (there's very little we can do to stop it after all) but when it's a crime against fellow humans, it's a downright shame.

I can't comprehend what happened in Austria. It's like the worst nightmare come to life for that poor woman who spent a quarter of a century underground. This was her own father for goodness' sake. Someone who should have protected her instead of abused her!

Then there's the Texas sect who "married" off barely teenage girls to much older men. They used religion as an excuse to do their horrible deeds.

When I read about stories like these, I think there's less and less humanity in humans.

there are a lot of horrible things going on in this planet that i never heard when i was still in the phils, or we just dont talk about these there? like children kept in freezers , or burnt in their chimneys.. and now, keeping them in their cellars.. the terrifying acts of some young teens like the link you shared, or the suicides among a group friends in wales and england..

kids really need our guidance for them to see what's good and not.. know what, it has always been disturbing for me that children lack respect to their teachers here... that teachers are even afraid of the students.. and that's unheard of in the phils, right?

we really should be vigilant. those natural disasters could be prevented with warning devices and info dissemination on what to do; what about the destruction of innocence? the society should be responsible enough to take on this challenge to 'unpollute' the envt. as for us moms, we need to be there for our kids.

JOANNE I do agree with you, natural disaster is a part of human life. Still it can be avoided with precautions especially when people listen & with some aids we could overcome things. Terrifying things are happening and yes less humanity in humans !

ANALYSE there are some unresolved cases and I just hope that justice will prevail. As parents we have a big responsibilities over our children. It's not just bearing a child but to really educate and keep our eyes open (without intruding one's privacy). I am sure that we are doing our best, it's not easy everyday let's take things one at a time. I've heard about harassment's of prof, let's just hope the school administration will protect them.

RAQGOLD cannot agree more with you. The society needs to do their share to fight against these terrible circumstances.

PINING I don't know the answer :(. Let us just continue to fight against these hand in hand. One thing I am sure of Good always wins over evil .
