Haunted Bloggers !

Tomorrow is Halloween, time for trick or treat! I'm sure everyone is getting ready for their costume party....a witch, a ghost, a pumpkin head, a monster or you may create your own style that'll be more original and a lot more exciting! An oppoturnity to rediscover the artistic side in you. Not to foget all those terrifying ghost stories from real life or movies that makes us frighten TONIGHT !!!

But most specially, November 1 is also the day to remember the Saints and our dearly beloved who past away. The time to offer a prayer for their lost soul.

FYI "The word itself, "Halloween," actually has its origins in the Catholic Church. It comes from a contracted corruption of All Hallows Eve. November 1, "All Hollows Day" (or "All Saints Day"), is a Catholic day of observance in honor of saints. But, in the 5th century BC, in Celtic Ireland, summer officially ended on October 31. The holiday was called Samhain (sow-en), the Celtic New year". And was later on brought to the US by Irish immigrants in the late 1840's and continue through the years.

Happy Halloween to everyone !!!

hi haze! thanks for visiting my blog, I hope makabalik ka ulit! =)

i've read your comment on my post 'weaning a breastfed baby', and I agree on everything you said. breastfeeding isn't really easy, it requires a lot, lot and lot of patience and hardwork. I thought I can't make this far, but I did! as for weaning my baby, I would have to start the process all over again. wrong timing ang dating ng sipon ni Ninev, the spell came few days after I started weaning her. she doesn't like to drink the regular milk so I have to nursed her. mahirap I should say, especially we are sleeping together. =)

what did you do when you wean your first child? was it easy for you? how I wish it's just easy for me.

pasensiya na ha, off topic itong message ko. o siya, you take care and have a great week! =)

Hello Ligaya just starting to the Blogsphere....you've got a nice Blog.

Eventhough breastfeeding is difficult but our babies has a lot of benefits later on, di masasakitin at malakas ang Anti-bodies nila. Proven ko with my 2 babies. Same case, I thought I can't make it but I did .:-)

Weaning my 1st child of definitely a battle...Patience is a virtue!!! My 1st step was to pump my milk and put it in the bottle and from there it's actually an indirect contact between me & my baby (still my own milk) do not breastfeed please. 1st rule to avoid temptation. 2nd step ask your pediatrician to prescribe you a milk that has the same taste & quality as of mother's milk (that's what I did). 3rd step, introduce to her little by little the complimentary milk prescribed....i did it so i'm sure you will too!!! kungbaga salitan mo yung gatas & the other milk so it will not be a radical change for her. slowly & smoothly but surely ika nga!

Goodluck and lot of patience & courage.God bless.

hi haze, thanks for the input! I sure did learn a lot. =)

it's too bad that I don't have enough milk to pump anymore, reason why I wanted to wean my daughter already. I am giving her the regular milk (cows milk) these days, recommended na rin iyon ng pedia niya since she's now more than one year old.

Patience is a virtue indeed, and thanks so much for the encouragement! I know I can do it too! =)

link na rin kita ha? have a great week!

Hello Ligaya, I'm happy that I could be able to help you a little bit.

Cow's milk is also a perfect replacement for Mother's milk and I'm sure that your baby is enjoying as well.

Your always welcome, basta if you have some questions into something, don't hesitate to ask me thou I'm not a specialist....we can always exchange ideas based on our experiences, that helps somehow.

Have a nice day to you all !
